9. Commissioning

a) Outdoor sensor for temperature/humidity

The weather station has an inherent search function for the available outdoor sensors. Therefore, it
does not matter with this product whether you commission the outdoor sensor of the weather station
first.
• If the transparent protective cap (31) is attached to the outdoor sensor, remove this prior to inserting the batteries.
To do so, slide the two locking sliders (25) on the bottom of the outdoor sensor towards the center so that you can
pull off the protective cap.
• Open the battery compartment on the rear by pushing its cover downwards.
• Insert two batteries of type AAA/micro with correct polarity into the battery compartment (observe positive/+ and
negative/-). All display segments appear briefly on the display, afterwards the first measuring value for the
temperature and the air humidity.
If there is no display, check whether the batteries are charged and were inserted correctly. If required,
briefly press the countersunk reset button (28) with a toothpick (do not exert any force when pressing!)
or remove both batteries and insert them again after a few seconds.
• Directly after inserting the batteries, the display of the channel number blinks (24) and the control LED (21); after
inserting the batteries, channel "1" is always preset.
If you operate more than one outdoor sensor, you have to set a different channel number for each outdoor sensor.
Set the channel numbers with the button "CH" (26) between "1" and "5". Depending on the set channel number,
the control LED (21) blinks 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x.
If you do not set the channel number within 10 seconds after inserting the batteries, the outdoor sensor
automatically quits setup mode and takes over the currently displayed channel number!
The control LED (21) only blinks briefly if measuring values are transferred to the weather station.
If you want to change the channel number retrospectively, either briefly press the reset button (28) or
remove the batteries for a few seconds and insert them again. Now the channel number blinks again
and can be set/changed as described above.
• With the button "°C/°F" (27), you can switch the temperature unit between "°C" (degrees Celsius) and "°F"
(degrees Fahrenheit).
• Put the cover on so that it snaps in.
• Place the transparent protective cap on the outdoor sensor (observe the orientation). With the two locking sliders
(25) you can fix the outdoor sensor on the protective cap.
• When selecting the installation site for the outdoor sensor, make sure that it is protected from precipitation (e.g.
beneath an eave). Otherwise, the sensor would no longer measure the air temperature. The sensor may also not
be exposed to direct sunlight, as this would falsify the measuring values. Do not operate the outdoor sensor in or
under water!
With the supplied wall mount (30), you can attach the outdoor sensor (with protective cap in place) to e.g. a wall.
