10. Commissioning


For connection of the external sensor and insertion of the batteries into the IR remote control and outdoor
sensor, observe chapter 9.
• Connect the low-voltage socket of the weather station to the round plug of the included plug-in mains adapter.
• Plug the plug-in mains adapter into a mains socket.
• If no display appears on the weather station after a few seconds, briefly push the button "Power" (3) on the rear
of the weather station or the button "ON/OFF" of the included IR remote control.

Point the small, transparent IR-LED at the front of the IR remote control at the front of the weather station
for this.
Our advice:
At a low distance between the IR-remote control and the weather station (less than 0.5 m), point the IR
LED of the IR remote control roughly at the lower right edge of the front of the weather station, since this
is where the IR receiver is located. If this is not observed, the weather station will not react correctly to the
control commands of the IR remote control.
• Then the display should start a slide show of the pictures on a memory card or flash drive. If no memory drive or
flash drive is connected to the weather station, the weather station may show some standard pictures the
manufacturer put in the firmware.
• Pull out the base from the weather station and fold it back by 90°. Place the weather station on a stable, level,
sufficiently large surface. Protect expensive furniture surfaces from impressions and scratches with suitable pads.
• Place the outdoor sensor in a protected location, e.g. under a roof protrusion. The assembly site should be
protected from direct precipitation, since water or snow on the outdoor sensor will stop it from measuring the air
temperature.
The outdoor sensor can either be set up with the base at the bottom of the housing or you can use the aperture
at the rear to suspend the outdoor sensor from a nail, screw or hook.
