Operating principle

Infrared thermometers measure the surface temperature of an
object. The sensor on the device records the heat radiation from the
object which is emitted, reflected and transmitted, and converts this
information into a temperature value.
Putting the device into operation and
using it
Inserting the battery
Before putting this measuring device into operation, you must first
insert a new 9 V compound battery. Battery installation is described
in the „Maintenance and Cleaning" section.
Temperature measurement
In order to take temperature measurements, direct the opening of
the IR sensor (1) towards the object to be measured, and press the
temperature measurement button (8). „SCAN" (14) is shown in the
LCD display. Make sure that the measuring area is not larger than
the object to be measured. The temperature value (11) currently
recorded is shown in the LCD display. In order to locate the hottest
parts of an object, direct the IR-360 towards a point outside the
required area, and by keeping the temperature measurement button
(8) pressed down, the area is „scanned" using „zig-zag" movements
until the hottest part is found.
After you have released the temperature measurement button (8), the
temperature value (11) recorded is shown for approx. 7 seconds.
During this time, „HOLD" (15) is shown. After approx. 7 seconds, the
device switches off automatically, in order to save battery capacity.
By pressing the MODE button (6), you can select between the „MIN"
(only the lowest temperature value during measurement is shown)
