• Synchronisation of the weather station with the DCF signal takes place every day at 03:00,
04:00, 05:00 and 06:00 a.m. A single successful reception per day will keep the deviation
of the integrated clock below a second.
• If you do not see any current time in the display of the weather station after 5 minutes,
relocate the weather station.
Then keep the buttons „+ / ALARM ON/OFF" (B4) and „- / °C/°F" (B5) pushed at the same
time for the duration of 3 seconds to restart the DCF reception attempt.
You may also wait for a day so that the DCF reception attempt is performed at night as
described above, since this permits a better reception of the DCF signal.
Alternatively, the time and date can be set manually at the weather station.
d) Setup and Mounting
• If there is a protective foil on the display and/or the outdoor sensor of the weather station,
remove it now.
• The outdoor sensor can be attached to the wall on a nail, screw or hook using the opening
(D5) on the rear. A small, unfolding base (D8) permits setup on a level surface as well.
Due to the installed LC display, it is recommended to install the device, e.g. next to a window.
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor area. It should be placed
so that it is not subject to direct solar irradiation, because temperature measurement will
otherwise be incorrect. Precipitation on the outdoor sensor also leads to incorrect temperature
measurement because the casing cools off.
We therefore recommend careful selection of the site of set-up for the outdoor sensor to
measure the correct temperature.
Never immerse or submerge the outdoor sensor in water; it would be destroyed!
• The weather station can be put on the wall using an opening (C1) in the rear and an nail,
screw or hook.
A folding standing base (C3) can be used to set up the weather station on a level, stable
surface. Protect valuable furniture surfaces from scratches with suitable pads.
