2. Safety information
Installation, connection and commissioning of electrical equipment shall only
be carried out by qualified electricians. Particular attention must be paid to:
Current safety regulations, in particular DIN EN 50110
Enclosed sheet "Important safety instructions for Bender products".
3. Functional description
The ISOMETER® measures the insulation resistance R
according to the Japanese charging standard CHAdeMO.
3.1
General measuring functions
The ISOMETER® measures the RMS value (trueRMS) of the system voltage U
between L+ and L- as well as the DC voltages between L+ and earth (U
between L- and earth (U
It determines from a minimum value of the DC system voltage the fault loca-
tion "R %", which shows the distribution of the insulation resistance between
conductors L+ and L-. The distribution is indicated by a "+" or "-" sign preced-
ing the insulation resistance measurement. The value range of the fault loca-
tion is ±100 %:

Symmetrical fault
+100 %

The partial resistances can be calculated from the total insulation resistance R
and the fault location (R %) using the following formula:
Fault on conductor L+ ->R
Fault on conductor L- -> R
