11. Tests

The machines must be checked by an expert in accordance with the (Guidelines for Liquid
Spray Appliances when necessary, but at least every 12 months to ensure that safe opera-
tion is still guaranteed.
The safety checking of the spray gun has to be done as follows: Loose screws on the spray
lance, then remove spray lance from the spray gun. Remove switch lever with spring from
the spray gun.
Machine must be ready for operation. Set ON-OFF switch to "1".
Possible cause
Combustion chamber or heat-
ing coil contaminated
Heating coil coated with lime
The control device in the spray
gun does not activate the micro
switches of the sender; the ini-
tial tension of the control device
is too low which results in the
control device being in too big
distance to the micro switches
What to do about it
Have an expert clean heating
coil (see also 9.3)
Have an expert delime heating
coil (see also 9.2)
Have the control device set
by an expert, tight screw in
the control device in that way
that both micro switches of the
sender are in turn actuated
correctly
