7. Inserting and Changing Batteries

• Take the protective cap off the outdoor sensor and open the battery
compartment as illustrated in the following image:
• Insert two batteries type mignon (AA) with the right polarity (see illustration
above). Preferably use alkaline batteries.

Using accumulators is possible, but these reduce the range as
well as the lifespan due to lesser voltage / capacity!
• Replace the protective cap until it snaps into place.
The batteries in the outdoor sensor can have a lifespan of up to 3 years (if you
use high-quality alkaline batteries).
If the display device (e.g. of the weather station „WS555") no longer displays
the corresponding sensor, exchange the batteries for new ones.

But first check, whether the transmission of the radio signal is not
interrupted. This may be caused by other appliances operating
with the same frequency, see chapter 11.
Please note that the synchronisation with the outdoor sensor may take
longer. The outdoor sensor does not appear immediately on the basis
station (e.g. weather station „WS555") after inserting the batteries!
