1. PrIor To STArTINg THE oPErATIoN

1.1 Safety rules

This Receiver has been manufactured subject to the observance of international standards of
safety. Prior to starting operation of the Receiver, please, read carefully and comprehend the rules
of industrial safety.
1. ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY
Power supply is to be provided using an AC mains operating at a frequency of 50/60 Hz, at a voltage of
110-240 Volts. Please, only connect the Receiver to power mains to provide the voltage unscripted on the
label thereof. Should you be uncertain as regards the power supply standard applicable in your house, –
please address the local electrical company.
2. OVERLOADS
Please, avoid overloading the mains sockets, extension cords or adapters; – this could result in ignition
or electric shock.
3. FLUIDS
The Receiver shall not be subject to action of fluids whatsoever, including splashes or dripping. Please,
avoid placing the objects filled with water on the Receiver, like vases, for example.
4. CLEANING
The Receiver shall be disconnected from electric power mains prior to cleaning. Use soft wet fabric for
cleaning, never use solvents.
5. VENTILATION
Ventilation apertures o the upper part of the device shall be open to provide free circulation of air. Never
place the Receiver onto a soft finish, carpets, sofas, beds and similar surfaces. Never place other electronic
components onto the Receiver. If placing the Receiver onto bookshelves or in lockers, please, make sure
that normal ventilation is ensured, and the installation instructions offered by the manufacturer are
observed.
6. MODULES
Never use modules that are not supported by the design: these are capable of seriously damaging the
Receiver.
7. CONNECTING THE ANTENNA CABLE AND THE TELEVISION SET
Connection of power cords to the wall outlets shall only be performed upon completion of connection of
the used components (between themselves). In case of making any new connections of cables between
the Receiver and television set, or disconnection of the aforementioned components from the same,
please, first disconnect the Receiver from the electric power mains.
8. ARRANGEMENT OF THE EQUIPMENT
Please, place the Receiver in your residence, in such a way, in order to avoid direct sunlight and rain. Never
place the unit in a direct proximity to sources of heat or heaters. Make sure that the Receiver is not placed
closer than 10 cm from the sources of electromagnetic irradiation – television sets or video recorders, etc.
Never place the Receiver onto unstable surfaces from where it could fall down. When falling, the unit
would be capable of causing serious physical damage to either a child or an adult, and it can also become
disabled.
9. THUNDERSTORMS AND LENGTHY INTERRUPTIONS IN USE
Please disconnect the Receiver from the power supply mains during thunderstorms, or during lengthy
interruptions in use. Such methods would allow you to avoid damage to the Receiver due to lightning
and malfunctions in electric power supply.
