2. Intended use
t t e e s s t t o o 2 2 6 6 5 5 is a practical measuring instrument
for fast tests on cooking oils.
The TPM value provides information on the
ageing of the cooking oils as a result of the
effect of heat.
The following measurement tasks can be
carried out:
- Displays cooking oil temperature:
Indicator for correct setting of deep-fry
device, checks built-in temperature
displays.
- Displays TPM value (Total Polar Materials):
Indicator for ageing of cooking oil.
The sensor functions on a capacitive basis
and takes the overall level of polar materials
in % as its reading.
The oxidative change at room temperature
(rancidness) which is defined by so called
free fatty acids cannot be measured with

The temperature of the cooking oil being
measured should be at least +40°C. The
maximum application temperature is
+210°C.

3. Product description
3.1 Power supply
Power to the testo 265 is supplied by the
Type AAA battery. The battery is included
and is already installed in the instrument.
