UP
To start using the TPC solely the connection to a
suitable Power Supply is needed. Once the system is
plugged IN and the On/Off button is pressed the
system starts and is usable.
To obtain a better connection to WLAN, please use
the WLAN antenna.
TIP: faytech offers customized BIOS with e.
g. your own LOGO and e.g. an automatic start
up once power is available.
faytech´s standard TPC voltage ranges are as followed:
7" to 22" TPC or Kiosk: 12V DC-IN
32" and larger: 24V DC-IN
IP65 models: 8-36V DC-IN
Please take care to ALWAYS just use the appr
opriate Power Supply. Wrong voltages applied
may harm the system immediately.
BIOS-
SETTINGS
For a complete mainboard manual please refer to the
faytech-mainboard product manual which is also
available on faytech´s webpage or on the Driver-DVD.
In the following, just the most important information
is provided:
Note: the BIOS is a special BIOS for TPCs wi
th integrated Panel - chosing the wrong Pane
l resolution may make the system COMPLETE un
usable
When a wrong resolution setting in BIOS is used it
may occur that after reboot there is no more picture
on the panel. For this reason, only experienced users
should make changes to the BIOS.
Please get the right resolution from the
hardware spec and do not set up ANY OTHER
resolution in the BIOS. How to fix a wrong resolution
setting please refer to the paragraph trouble shooting.
TIP: When you need a customized BIOS do not
hesitate to contact us.

When an actual Ubuntu Software is preinstalled the
following LogIn information are preset:
User-Name:
Password:
If you want to change the password please open a
terminal, type "sudo su", press "Enter". The password
is "user123". Please chose "passwrd user" and type in
your new password.
Tip: If the system is in German and you woul
d like to change it to English. You should o
pen "Systemeinstellungen" on the left-hand s
ide. Go further into "Sprachen". In the tab
"Sprache" you will see an order of different
languages. Drag English to the top and then
click "Systemweit anwenden". After that a w
indow will pop out and you need to give the
password "user123" and click "Legitimieren".
After coming back from logging out you will
have an operating system in English.

PERATION
Besides the On/Off Button there are no more buttons
needed for operation. Once set up you can use the
TPC just with your fingers and operate accordingly.
Please keep in mind that a PC should not be
disconnected from Power Source without the p
roper shut down process.
Repeatedly disconnecting a PC while running
may harm the system and lead to problems.
