h) Recording/playing back your own rhythm accompaniment

The „PROG" and „NULL-PLAY" buttons (31) allow you to record and play back your own rhythm accompaniment. However, the
recording is lost when you turn off the keyboard.
Setting the beat
• Follow the instructions provided in Chapter 9. a) to set the desired beat.
Preparing recorder mode
Each new recording automatically overwrites any previous recording.
• Push the „PROG" button — a small symbol appears next to „PROG" at the left of the display and the beat indicator starts flas-
hing to indicate that the keyboard is armed for recording. Instrument „156" (standard drum kit) is automatically activated. The
symbols beneath the keys serve to indicate which percussion instrument each key plays.
The keyboard has not yet started recording!
• Should you like, you can now set the tempo.
Starting the recording
• To start recording, either push the „START/STOP" button (24) or simply start playing.
The metronome turns on automatically to help you keep a steady tempo.
Stopping the recording
• Briefly push the „PROG" button to stop recording.
Playing back a recording
• Push the „NULL-PLAY" button to play back or pause playback of a recorded rhythm accompaniment.

i) Turning the metronome on/off

• Push the METRONOME" button (32) to turn the metronome on/off.
• When the metronome is on, a metronome sounds according to the current beat.
The beat setting depends on the rhythm accompaniment you select.
If you want to set the beat manually for practicing purposes (without playing back a rhythm accompaniment), follow the
instructions in Chapter 9. a).
