c) Operation

• The device is not a toy. Keep devices to be operated by mains supply away from children. Use extreme caution when
children are present. Operate the product out of reach of children.
• The product is only suitable for use in dry, closed indoor areas. The complete product must not become wet or damp.
Never touch the product with wet hands! In regard to the power adapter, there is a risk of fatal electric shock!
• Select a stable, flat and horizontal surface of sufficient size for installation.
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the location where the product is placed, and during transport:
- Wetness or excessive humidity
- Extreme temperatures, direct sunlight
- Dust or flammable gases, vapors or solvents
- Strong vibrations, shocks, blows
- Strong magnetic fields, e.g. in the vicinity of machines or speakers
• Do not place any objects on the keyboard; never cover the keyboard during use.
• Do not place any objects filled with liquids, such as glasses, buckets, vases or plants on or in the near vicinity of the
device. Liquids could enter the housing and hence affect the electric safety. There is also a risk of fire or fatal electric
shock!
• Do not place sources of open fire, such as candles, on or next to the device.
• Use the device in moderate climate zones only. Do not use in tropical climate zones.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation
generated could destroy the product. The plug-in power supply unit also involves danger to life by electric shock!
Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting and using it. This may take several hours.
• When setting up the device, ensure that the cable does not get kinked or crushed.
• Do not leave the device unattended during operation.
• Handle the product with care; impacts, blows or falling from even low heights can cause damage.
• Observe the safety instructions for all third devices you connect to the device.
• In schools and educational institutions, hobby and do-it-yourself workshops, the use of the product must be super-
vised by trained staff.
