• Turn the volume control „MASTER VOL" (3) counter clockwise all the way to the left.
• Turn on the keyboard using the on/off switch (2). The button protrudes slightly more when in the off position than in the on posi-

b) Setting the volume

• The volume dial „MASTER VOL" (3) is the main volume control. It controls the total volume of all notes and sounds.
Repeatedly press a key on the keyboard and set the volume as desired.
• Use the „ACCOM VOL+" and „ACCOM VOL-" buttons (5) to set the volume for rhythm/melody accompaniment.
This allows you to set the volume so that the rhythm accompaniment is barely audible while the notes from the keyboard
are heard at normal volume.
Briefly push the „START/STOP" button (24) to start playback of rhythm accompaniment. Repeatedly press a key on the
keyboard and set the main volume using the volume dial „MASTER VOL" (3).
Now use the „ACCOM VOL+" and „ACCOM VOL-" buttons (5) to separately set the volume for rhythm accompaniment.

c) Playing demo songs

The keyboard comes with 2 demo songs. Proceed as follows to select and play the demo songs:
• Briefly push the „DEMO" button (16).
The display shows the first demo song and the tempo indicator („TEMPO") flashes for a few seconds.
While the tempo indicator is flashing, you can set the playback tempo for the demo song using the „TEMPO+" and
„TEMPO-" buttons (4).
• Playback of the demo song then starts. Set the volume using the „MASTER VOLUME" dial (3) as desired.
During playback, you can set the playback tempo for the demo song as described above using the „TEMPO+" and
„TEMPO-" buttons (4).
• Turn the „DATA DIAL" (18) to switch between the two demo songs.
• Stop playback of the demo song by pushing the „DEMO" button (16) or the „START/STOP" button (24).

d) Drums mode

Briefly push the „KEYBOARD PERCUSSION" button (37) to switch from „normal" sounds to drum sounds. The display shows
„PERCUS" (short for percussion = drums) in drums mode.
Beneath every key on the keyboard there is a small symbol representing the percussion instrument the respective key can play.
When drums mode is deactivated, there are 8 different buttons (38) available for a small selection of percussion instru-
ments.
