MOUNTING OF FLEXIBLE SHAFT

εounting the lexible shaft
1έ Remove the bolt (1) from the end of the straight shaft (β)έ
βέ Remove the cap from the lexible shaftέ
NOTEμ
Do not lose the capέ Always put the cap when removing the lexible shaftέ

γέ Turn the lexible shaft so that the dented part (γ) of the lexible shaft faces
downwardsέ
ζέ Align the square inner shaft (ζ) with the joint hole (η)έ Insert the end of the
lexible shaft into the pipe holder all the wayέ
ηέ Tighten them with the bolt (1)έ
NOTICEμ
If it is dificult to insert the lexible shaft, align the square inner shaft (ζ)

againέ
Do not pull out the inner shaft more than γη mm (1ά1ήγ")έ

θέ Align the hole (ι) on the other end of lexible shaft with the knob (κ) of the
clutch case (θ), and insert the lexible shaft into the clutch caseέ
ιέ εake sure the knob clicks as the knob its into the hole of the lexible shaftέ
To remove the lexible shaft from the clutch case, pull up the knob and remove itέ
Connecting the control cable
1έ όit the end of the control cable from the control lever (β) onto the end of the
control cable from the engine (γ)έ
βέ Place the control cable from the control lever in the connector (1)έ And then
close the connectorέ
γέ εake sure the throttle in the carburetor moves simultaneously when pulling
the throttle leverέ
Connecting the lead unit
Connect the lead units from the engine (1) with the lead units from the control
lever (β) as each male and female terminals are connectedέ
Securing the control cable
Secure the control cable (1) to the lexible shaft by using two clamps (β) and
another clamp (γ) as illustratedέ
CAUTIONμ
εake sure the control cable is attached to the lexible shaft properlyέ δoose

cable may catch the branches etcέ and result in personal injuryέ
Do not twine the control cable around the lexible shaftέ τtherwise the

throttle may not work properlyέ
