• The following steps must be completed when you set up the weather station:
- Select the SSID of you wireless router (so that the base station can connect to the router)
- Select the Wi-Fi encryption method (most networks use WPA2)
- Enter the password for your wireless router
- Enter the station ID (see section 10. c)
- Enter the station password (see section 10. c)
- Set the time zone for your location/country
Only calibrate the relative pressure (the atmospheric pressure corrected to sea-level conditions) or UV
index if you have access to comparative readings (e.g. readings made with a professional measuring
device).
The UV sensor is factory-calibrated and does not normally need to be adjusted. The default setting for the
UV-Index is "1.00" (0.01 increments; range = 0.01–10). If the calibration setting is 0.95, the displayed value
will be 0.95 multiplied by the measured value.
• Select "Apply" to apply the settings. The settings will be synced to the base station. If you entered the correct SSID
and Wi-Fi password, the LED indicator (5) will stay constant blue.
If you take too long to configure the settings or your smartphone needs to access the Internet, your smart-
phone may disconnect from the base station's wireless network and switch to your home network.
If this occurs, repeat the above steps.
• T he settings are now complete. After you have completed the above steps, the outdoor sensor LED indicator (3)
should turn blue (indicating that the outdoor sensor has been detected). In addition, the base station LED indicator
(5) should also turn blue to indicate that the base station is connected to your home network.
Measurements from the outdoor sensor are automatically uploaded to www.wunderground.com.
