Follow the steps below to ensure that you mount the outdoor sensor in a suitable location.
Ensure that the outdoor sensor is horizontal to prevent incorrect measurements. Use the spirit level (18) on the top of
the sensor to check that it is level. The small air bubble in the spirit level should be in the middle of the circle.
Important!
The "N" marking on the sensor (located at the bottom of the
wind sensor) indicates north.
Ensure that the "N" marking is pointing exactly north when
you secure the sensor in place. Use a compass to find your
bearings (e.g. a smartphone compass app).
If you do not have a compass, use a map to find your ap-
proximate bearings.
The opening (15) on the bottom of the sensor is designed for tubes with
a diameter of 35...40 mm. Do not attempt to force the sensor into the
tube.
A rubber strip is attached to the inside of the opening to prevent the
sensor from rotating.
Loosen the four screws on the bottom of the holder and insert the short tube piece into the holder as far as it will go.
Tighten the screws to secure the tube piece in place.
