In addition to the safety regulations in the opera-
ting instructions, you must follow all the regu-
lations in your country governing safety for the
operation of this machine.
The operating instructions should be protected
in a plastic cover against dirt and dampness and
kept near the machine. They must be read careful-
• Pass along the safety instructions to all peo-
ple who work with the machine.
• The operators must be at least 18 years
old. Trainees must be at least 16 years old,
and may only operate the machine under
supervision.
• Do not distract persons operating the ma-
chine.
• Keep children away from the machine when
it is plugged in.
• Wear clothes that fit close to the body. Remo-
ve jewellery, rings and watches.
• Follow all safety and danger-avoiding instruc-
tions related to the machine and make sure
they are in a legible condition.
• Be careful when working: there is a danger
of injury to fingers and hands by the rotating
cutting blade.
• When operating the machine, make sure to
take regular pauses.
• When operating the machine, wear safety
shoes and protective clothing.
• The saw for fire wood is made only to be
used with the tools for wood working.
• The machine corresponds with the valid EU
machine directives.
• The machine is made for operation in one
shift. The switch-on time is h. 6 – 40%
• The saw is constructed for cross-section
sawing for fire wood with of a maximum
length of 1 meter and a minimum diameter of
60 mm.
• Regardless of the diameter of the wood, only
one piece can be put on the jack at a time.
• The wood must always be placed so that
both sides of the saw blade are in the vee of
the jack (Fig. 1).
• Follow all safety and danger instructions on
the machine.
• Keep all the safety and danger instructions
on the machine complete and in a legible
condition.

• Make sure that when the machine is set up it
is standing securely on solid ground.
• There should be no rubble around the
machine.
• Check the electrical wires. Do not use dama-
ged cables. See the section on the electrical
connection.
• Check the motor and tool rotational direction.

• Installation, repairs and maintenance work on
the electrical installation may only be done by
a specialist.
• Turn off the machine to deal with problems.
Pull out the plug.
• When the operator leaves the workplace,
(s)he must turn off the motor and unplug the
machine.
• Even when the machine must only be moved
a small distance, it should be unplugged
from any external source of current! Before
starting up the machine again, plug it in to the
source of power again.
Appropriate use 
• If the machine is used in a closed room, then
it must be attached to an exhaust unit.
• Only use the machine when it is in a
technically perfect condition, and only use
it appropriately with attention to safety and
sources of danger, according to the operating
instructions! In particular defects that could
influence the safety of the unit must be imme-
diately attended to!
• The manufacturer's safety, operation and
maintenance regulations must be followed
as well as the relevant values listed in the
technical data.
• Follow all applicable accident avoidance
regulations and also those generally reco-
gnized safety procedures.
• The machine may only be used by expe-
rienced persons; it may only be maintained or
repaired by those who understand it and who
have been informed of potential dangers.

In these operating instructions we have used
this symbol to indicate passages that relate to
your safety:

• If the customer wishes to provide a mains
supply, then a ground fault interrupter se-
cured with a rated current level of a maxi-
mum 30 mA is required.
• Electrical connection cables must correspond
to the appropriate VDE and DIN regulations
as well as the local EVE rules.
• Only use connection cables with the tag H
07 RN. All connection cables are required to
have tagging indicating their type.
• Only carry out modifications, adjustment,
measurement and cleaning work on the ma-
chine when the motor is turned off. Pull out
the plug and wait until the rotating parts have
come to a stop.
• All protective and safety equipment must be
immediately reassembled on the machine
after repair or maintenance work has been
completed.
• Only use well-sharpened, crack-free and
intact saw blades.
Independent changes made to the machine
remove it and any damage resulting from the
use of the machine from the manufacturer's
guarantee.
• The machine may only be used with the
manufacturer's original parts and tools.
• Any use beyond this is considered to be in-
appropriate. Any damages which result from
this are not the responsibility of the manuf-
acturer but rather the operator carries the full
liability risk.
• Only saw blades may be used that corre-
spond to the European Norm EN 847-1.
• Make sure there is adequate lighting.
• Make sure that when the machine is set up, it
is stable and stands on firm ground.
• Make sure there is no rubble around the
machine.
• If there is no exhaust unit present, then the
machine can only be used outdoors.
