DMX-controlled operation

You can control the device individually via your DMX-controller. Every DMX-channel has a different
occupation with different features. The individual channels and their features are listed under DMX-protocol.
The device has four DMX channel modes. The Control Board allows you, as described above, to assign the
DMX channel mode.

Addressing

The Control Board allows you to assign the DMX starting address, which is defined as the first channel from
which the LED SLS-90 Strobe SMD 5630 will respond to the controller.
If you set, for example, the address in the 12 channel mode to channel 13, the LED SLS-90 Strobe SMD
5630 will use the channel 13 to 24 for control.
Please, be sure that you don't have any overlapping channels in order to control each LED SLS-90 Strobe
SMD 5630 correctly and independently from any other fixture on the DMX-chain.
If several LED SLS-90 Strobes SMD 5630 are addressed similarly, they will work synchronically.
For setting the desired starting address please press the MODE button until the display shows DMX 2-CH, 5-
CH, 8-CH or 12-CH. Press the ENTER button and the display shows: d001. Set the desired address via the
UP or DOWN buttons. Please press the ENTER button again to confirm.
Now you can start operating the LED SLS-90 Strobe SMD 5630 via your lighting controller.
Note:
The modes of DMX512 data are shown via the display of the device:
After switching on, the device will automatically detect whether DMX 512 data is received or not. If the data
is received, the display will show "d.001" with the actually set address. If there is no data received at the
DMX-input, the display will show "d001" with the actually set address.
This situation can occur if:
- the XLR plug (cable with DMX signal from controller) is not connected with the input of the device.
- the controller is switched off or defective, if the cable or connector is defective or the signal wires are swap
in the input connector.
