13. Troubleshooting

With this weather station, you purchased a product built to the state of the art and operationally safe. Nevertheless,
problems or errors may occur. The following contains descriptions for the removal of possible interferences.
No reception of the outdoor sensor signal
• The distance between weather station and outdoor sensor is too large. Change the site of setup of the outdoor
sensor or the weather station.
• The outdoor sensor batteries are weak or flat. Try inserting new batteries. Observe chapters 12 and 9.
• Another transmitter on the same or an adjacent frequency interferes with the outdoor sensor radio signal. Change
the site of setup of the outdoor sensor or the weather station.
• Low temperatures may lead to range decrease since batteries or rechargeable batteries are temperature-sensitive.
If you have inserted rechargeable batteries in the outdoor sensor, try using regular batteries. They have a higher
output voltage.
Weather station does not respond to buttons being pushed on the IR-remote control
• Point the IR LED of the IR remote control directly at the IR receiver of the weather station (direct line of sight
required). It is at the front of the weather station, at the lower right edge of the front frame.
• The range should be several metres with the battery fully charged. Strong sunlight or bright light from energy
savings lamps will reduce the range!
• The battery in the IR remote control is weak or flat; replace it, see chapters 12 and 9.
Pictures on the memory card or USB flash drive are not displayed
• Only pictures in the standard JPG format can be displayed.
• The weather station can only read data carriers in FAT or FAT32 formats. NTFS-format data carriers are not
recognised.
Slow picture presentation for the preview pictures
• For the preview pictures, the pictures on the memory card or flash drive must be reduced in size. This takes a lot
of time.
Pictures cannot be deleted or formatting is not possible (for SD memory cards)
• SD memory cards have a small writing protection slider on the side. If it is used to activate the writing protection,
pictures cannot be deleted and the card cannot be formatted.
No display of measured values for indoor temperature/indoor humidity
• Connect the enclosed external sensor to the weather station or check if the plug is completely and correctly plugged
into the corresponding socket of the weather station.
