Wöchentliche Wartung
Schaumtopf entleeren: Dafür Foamer vom Netz trennen,
Schaumtopf komplett nach oben abheben (1), Deckel
abnehmen und Reaktor auf den Deckel stellen um
Wasserverlust zu vermeiden (2).
Schaumtopf nach dem Entleeren mit klarem Wasser und
Bürste reinigen.
Schaumtopf wieder einsetzten und Foamer einschalten,
der Abschäumer baut seine übliche Leistung gleich
wieder auf.
Nach größeren Reinigungen im Aquarium kann die
Anlaufphase ein paar Stunden dauern (Hautfett). Je nach
Biotop und Wasserbelastung kann die Schaumproduktion
mehr oder weniger sein. Die Topfreinigung muss jedoch
regelmäßig und mind. wöchentlich erfolgen.
Bei Stillstand des Foamers wird eine Spülung der
Luftdüse durchgeführt, was die Wartungsabstände des
Geräts deutlich verlängert.
Falls nötig, Schaumstoffeinsatz am Wasserausgang kurz
spülen (3).

Weekly maintenance

To empty the skimmer cup, disconnect the foamer from
the mains power, completely lift up the skimmer cup (1),
remove the cover and place the reactor on the cover in
order to prevent spills (2).
After emptying the skimmer cup clean it with water and
a brush.
Reinsert the skimmer cup and switch on the Foamer. The
skimmer will quickly deliver its usual performance again.
After a major cleaning of the aquarium, the start up phase
may take a few hours due to skin oils and suspended
detritus. Depending on the biotope habitat and water
contamination, the foam development may be higher or
lower. The cup cleaning must be performed regularly,
and at least once a week.
During Foamer standstill, the air jet will be rinsed, which
leads to significantly prolonged maintenance intervals of
the device.
If necessary, rinse the foam insert at the water output
briefly.

Entretien hebdomadaire

Videz le godet d'écumage: pour cela, débranchez la prise
électrique du Foamer, extrayez le godet vers le haut (1),
déposez le couvercle puis posez le godet sur le couvercle
afin d'éviter les pertes d'eau (2).
Rincez le godet à l'eau claire à l'aide d'une brosse.
Replacez le godet sur l'écumeur et rebranchez le Foamer,
la reprise de l'écumage est en principe immédiate.
Suite à une intervention dans l'aquarium, cette reprise
pourrait durer quelques heures (introduction des mains).
La production d'écume est très variable en fonction
du biotope et de sa charge organique. Cependant, le
nettoyage du godet d'écumage est une opération à
conduire régulièrement, au minimum chaque semaine.
En arrêtant le Foamer lors du nettoyage du godet, les
incrustations calciques dans le circuit d'air se trouvent
dissoutes ce qui diminue les interventions d'entretien de
l'appareil.
Si nécessaire, rincer la mousse (3) sous l'eau claire.
