Dealing with the Airbag

The Airbag compresses down very small. When packing up note
that the foam sidewalls must be folded outwards. The Airbag will
then quickly take up its correct shape when next used. At the take-
off place the harness should be unpacked in good time, so that the
Airbag can fi ll itself completely (see also 'Caring for the Airbag' in the
"Maintenance, repairs and service intervals" chapter).
Caution: Before every takeoff check that the Airbag has filled
completely.
Tip: If the Airbag has not expanded completely by itself – or
is it squashed fl at because you have sat on it on the ground –
we recommend that you give the sides a sharp clap with
both hands. This will make the Airbag develop itself and be
ready for takeoff.
