Problem
Pump is not running
Impeller is blocked

5. Troubleshooting
Possible cause
No mains voltage available
Fuse faulty
Mains cable damaged
Floating switch faulty
Ventilation bore hole blocked
Soiling, solids and coarse materials
have become jammed between the im-
peller and suction flange.
Suction strainer blocked
Wear of the suction flange
Wear of the impeller
Ventilation bore hole blocked
Current consumption too high
Pumping height < 0.5 m
Remedial measures
Check mains voltage
Replace fuse
Repairs only by KESSEL customer service
Replace complete floating
switch (art. no. 28012) or repair through KES-
SEL customer service
Clean ventilation bore hole
Clean the pump
(see chapter 3)
Clean the pump (see chapter 3).
Replace suction flange
Replace impeller
Clean ventilation bore hole
Raise pressure pipe to more than 0.5 m
pumping height
Alternatively, a replacement impeller
can be installed. However, this slightly re-
duces the pumping height
