1.1 Use

Soiled water without sewage which occurs
below the backwater level must be dispo-
sed of via a wastewater lifting station in ac-
cordance with DIN EN 12056.

1.2 System description

The KESSEL-soiled water lifting station
Aqualift S is resistant to the usual domestic
acids and alkalis (pH value of 6.5 - 10) as
well as to cold and hot water (up to 95°C).
Condensate from condensing boilers must
be neutralised or sufficiently diluted before
it is discharged into the station. The di-
scharge of sewage or wastewater contai-
ning sewage
as well as combustible or explo-
sive liquids/components is prohibited.
The KESSEL lifting station Aqualift S is ex-
tremely easy to install.
The KESSEL lifting station Aqualift S is
available in the following versions:
- for installation in the ground plate
(Order no. 28500 / 28530 / 28550)

1. General points

The lifting station comprises a pump tank
with integrated compression seal flange, a
telescopic upper cover section and a cover
plate with slotted cover (Class A), optionally
with a cover plate resistant to surface water
Class A.
Maximum groundwater resistance is 2 m.
The following versions are available with:
1 Pump with floating switch
1 Pump with submersible pipe and
pressure sensor in the control unit
2 pumps with submersible pipe and
pressure sensor in the control unit
- as twin lifting station
for above-ground installation
(Order no. 28541)
The KESSEL lifting station Aqualift S com-
prises a pump tank and an odour-tight
cover. The two pumps are controlled via
the submersible pipe and pressure sensor
in the control unit.
1.3 Duty – Stand by operation of twin
pump systems
The pumps operate alternately, in the event
of increased soiled water occurrence or if
one of the pumps fails, the second pump
switches on automatically.

1.4 Connections

Pressure connection: R 1
or pressure pipe D = 40 mm for PVC adhe-
sive
connection.
connections (e.g. HT pipe) are not permit-
ted for pressure pipes.
1.5 Connection of air pressure tube to
control unit
For systems equipped with the pressure
sensor, the air pressure tube running from
the pressure sensor to the control unit must
be laid with a constant positive slope (up-
wards) from the pump back to the control
unit. The tube should not be coiled or con-
tain any loops or dips.
As an option, a small air compressor (Article
Number 28048) can be connected to the
system.
