FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

This HVLP turbine (High Volume, Low Pressure) works with a controlled air cone using a high volume of air at a low
pressure. The overspray is extremely low in the case of HVLP systems. The paint drying times are shorter as the turbi-
ne air is heated.

UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY

1. Check all parts for signs of damage.
2. Connect the hose to the turbine and paint container gun.
PREPARATION
Preparing the coating material
Use only clean coating material from a fresh container. In case of previously opened and used containers, sieve the coa-
ting material before spraying to avoid the nozzle clogging and an uneven spray pattern.
Thin the coating material with a suitable solvent in line with the manufacturer's instructions (see Technical Data
Sheet).
WARNING:
By design, the turbine motor generates sparks at its collector. When spraying flammable materials, the
turbine must be set up at least 6 metres from the area to be sprayed.
OPERATION
1. Before using the system, select the correct nozzle in line with the manufacturer's recommendations (see Technical
Data Sheet). If you do not have the right nozzle size as stated in the data sheet, use the a nozzle one size larger for lar-
ge surfaces, or one size smaller for small surfaces. In as-supplied state, the 1.3 mm nozzle is fitted; this is suitable for
most applications.
2. Make sure that all safety covers and safety devices are in place. Fill the paint container.
3. Before spraying, allow the turbine to run for a couple of minutes so that it warms up. (This optimises the spraying
gun settings).
4. Set the spray pattern by spraying a test surface before starting productive spraying.
Adjusting the spray gun
1. First adjust the material flow setting. Turn clockwise for more liquid; turn anti-clockwise for less. Start with a low
material flow.
