2.2 Intended purpose

The PARI SINUS is a medical device intended for use in treat-
ing the upper airways with nebuliser therapy. It consists of a
PARI SINUS compressor and a LC SPRINT SINUS nebuliser.

2.3 Intended use

The product is intended exclusively for home use.
The compressor is intended exclusively for indoor use and can
be operated by the patient himself/herself.
For reasons of hygiene, the nebuliser, the nasal plug and the
nasal joining piece must only be used by a single patient.
This product is only designed for patients who are able to
breathe by themselves and are conscious.
The product is designed to treat children aged 6 and older and
adults.
Saline solutions can be nebulised with the PARI SINUS to mo-
bilise secretion. In this case, please follow the information in
the instructions for use of the saline solution concerned.
If infection or inflammation of the paranasal sinuses is suspec-
ted, an appointment must be made with a doctor who can pre-
scribe the medications suitable for use in nebuliser therapy
with the PARI SINUS.
It is imperative that patients with cystic fibrosis discuss their
treatment beforehand with a doctor.
An application usually takes 5 to 10 minutes.

2.4 Contraindications

Patients who respond to the treatment with adverse reactions
must stop the therapy.
