Quick Reference Card
Place the workpiece between the clamps and the back stop.
Push the clamps towards the workpiece and lock the quick-clamping
device with the locking handle.
Clamp the workpiece.
Position the cut-off wheel so that it can cut the sample and lock it in
place with the black cut-off wheel locking handle on the right of the
machine.
Position the cutting table with v FORWARDS and
V BACKWARDS
Carefully close the protecting guard.
Set feed speed and Press AUTO.
Press START s to begin cutting.
After cutting, the cutting table automatically returns to its start
position.
Open the protection guard and release the clamping device.
Remove the workpiece.
Loosen the black handle on the right hand side of Discotom-5 so that
the cut-off wheel moves freely
Clamp the workpiece.
Position the cutting table under the cut-off wheel.
If AUTO mode is selected, de-select it.
Press START s. Lower the cut-off wheel until it contacts the
workpiece and apply pressure until the sample is cut.
Keep the Load Bar in the green, or first part of the yellow area. Relax
pressure near the end of the cut.
Open the protection guard and release the clamping device.
Remove the workpiece.
Fasten the black handle to stop the cutting handle from moving.
Press the black locking knob on the right-hand side of the cut-off
wheel, turning the cut-off wheel until the spindle lock clicks.
Remove the nut with a fork spanner. Remove the flange and the old
cut-off wheel.
Mount the new cut-off wheel.
Mount the flange and the nut. Tighten carefully.
Pull out the flush hose from the back of the cutting chamber. Point
the flush hose towards the bottom of the cutting chamber.
Turn the cooling valve clockwise to flushing position.
Clean the cutting chamber.
Turn the cooling valve counter-clockwise to cooling position.
Always leave the protection guard open to let the cutting chamber
dry.
