The grease separator is delivered ready for operation. The

3.2 Set-up

grease separator is easy to transport and fits through any
standard door. The system is then set up as follows.
1. Set up the grease separator and make sure it is horizon-

tal.
2. Grease the cover seal and insert it into the cover groove.
Fit the cover and fix in place with the aid of the clamping
ring.
3. Connect the inlet and outlet of the grease separator sys-
tem. Check the connection pipes for leaks after the sys-
tem has been put into operation. If water is leaking out,
check the fit of the clamping muffs.

2. Grease the cover seals and insert them into the cover
groove. Fit the covers and fix in place with the aid of the
clamping rings.
3. Connect the inlet and outlet of the grease separator sys-
tem. Check the connection pipes for leaks after the sys-
tem has been put into operation.
If water is leaking out, check the fit of the clamping
muff(s) and tighten the screw connections if necessary.
4. The riser pipe is fitted to the grease separator ready for
operation (it can be removed if necessary. To do this,
remove the spring clips on the pipe clamps. The riser
pipe can now be removed from the grease separator.
When the riser pipe is replaced, make sure the seal for
the pipe duct in the base area of the separator is correct-
ly in place. The seal and the pipe should be well lubrica-
ted for installation.).
Connect the disposal flange on the disposal pipe routed
on site. (Flange connection DN 65, PN 10, DIN 2501,
hole pattern 145 mm). At the end of the disposal pipe, the
Storz-B coupling (R 2 1/2" inner thread) must be moun-
ted in a spot easily accessible for the disposal vehicle.
Any compensators necessary to prevent sound transmis-
sion must be inserted in the disposal pipe.

3. Installation
When the riser pipe is replaced, make sure the seal for
the pipe duct in the base area of the separator is correct-
ly in place. The seal and the pipe should be well lubrica-
ted for installation.)
4. Connect the disposal flange on the disposal pipe routed

Any compensators necessary to prevent sound transmis-
sion must be inserted in the disposal pipe.
5. The pump must be attached to the floor using the screws
provided. The rubber mat provided must be placed under
the bracket console as sound insulation.
6. DIN 1988, DVGW work sheet and local requirements of
the authorities must be heeded when connecting the fil-
ling and rinsing pipes.
Connection with KESSEL filling device (included):
- Fix the filling device in the filling and rinsing connection
screws and using pipe brackets.
- Bring the filling and rinsing pipes together and connect them
together to the R1 inner thread of the filling device.
Connection with other separator systems
- Connect the filling and rinsing device to the filling and rinsing
connection (R 1 1/2 inner thread).
7. Electrical installation
Electrical work may only be carried out by professional
electricians.
A 16 A assembly socket in CEE form must be installed on
site. Fuse T 16 A.
Connect the pump. Check the phase sequence of the elect-
rical installation.
8. Power plug with integrated motor protection switch 16 A
CEE Motor protection plug with motor protection switch
setting range 4 - 6.3 A => Current value must be set to the
nominal pump current (5.6 A) using the setting wheel
Switch-on and switch-off are carried out manually using the
motor protection switch => black and red button
-> With phase sequence control
-> With thermal contact monitoring => for thermal monito-
ring of the pump.
-> With undervoltage trigger => is switched off automatical-
ly when voltage drops below minimum or there is a
power failure
8. Dimensions: Length 270 mm, width 110 mm, depth 100 mm
Weight: approx. 2000 g
9. Pump system with chopper
-> Type: SPF 260 KE
-> Nominal capacity 2.6 KW, Nominal current 5.6 A
-> Voltage supply 400 DS 50 Hz with monitoring of winding
temperature
-> For the contents of grease separators in homes and gas-
tronomy
-> Media temperature 5°C - 35°C
-> Ambient temperature 5°C - 35°C
