d) Verification of the Control Functions
Before starting your model for the first time, you need to familiarise yourself with the remote control, the control func-
tions and test the model functions. The functions and commissioning of the remote control system can be taken in the
operating instructions separately enclosed with the remote control.
Always turn on the transmitter first and put the speed control lever to "Motor off" (see figure 16).
Connect the flight battery to the flight controller (see figure 8, item 2). The flight controller now checks the "Motor off"
control signal of the transmitter. Depending on how the flight controller is programmed, the flight controller's readiness
for operation is signalled by different signal sounds.
The signal sounds are generated by a short start-up of the motor by the flight controller.
The flight controller has an undervoltage recognition that switches off the motor at a specific voltage depend-
ing on battery type. Thus avoids a harmful deep discharge of the flight battery.
The flight controller is already correctly pre-programmed ex works. Chapter 13 contains further information
on this.
Neutral Position:
When the control lever for the rudder, elevator and aileron functions and the respective trimming is precisely in the
centre position, the rudder, elevator and aileron at the flight model should be precisely centred.
Viewed from the rear, the rudders and elevators must form a level with the rudder and must not be deflected to the top
or bottom, left or right. The ailerons must be at one level with the wings.
If the ailerons and/or rudders or elevators are not aligned precisely, the rudders can be aligned precisely with the
linkage wires by twisting the clevises.
Elevator function
If the control stick for the elevator function is moved down, the elevator must deflect to the top. The rear rudder
edge must be deflected upwards by approx. 12 mm. In flight, the landing gear is pressed downwards and the model
ascends.
