Important!
Always measure the centre of gravity with the cabin hood in place.
For the first flights, set the centre of gravity at approx. 49 mm wing depth. The best centre of gravity then
can be reset slowly.
e) Checking the Control Functions
Before starting your model for the first time, you need to familiarise yourself with the remote control, the control func-
tions and test the model functions. The functions and commissioning of the remote control system can be taken in the
operating instructions enclosed with the remote control.
Always turn on the transmitter first and put the speed control lever to „Motor off". Connect the flight battery to the flight
controller (see figure 8, item 6). The flight controller now tests the control signal from the transmitter „Motor off" and
acoustically reports this with signal sounds. The flight controller is now ready for operation.
The flight controller is already correctly programmed ex works. For more information on the flight controller,
see the chapter „Programming the flight controller".
The signal sounds are generated by a short start-up of the motor by the flight controller.
The flight controller has an undervoltage recognition that reduces the motor output or deactivates the motor
at a voltage below 3.0 V per cell (for the rechargeable battery in the model plane. below 6.0 V). Thus a
harmful deep discharge of the battery is avoided.
Neutral Position
When the control lever for the rudder, elevator and aileron functions and the trimming of the control functions is pre-
cisely in the centre position, the rudder, elevator and aileron at the flight model should be precisely centred. Viewed
from the rear, the rudders and elevators must form a level with the rudder and must not be deflected to the top or
bottom, left or right. The ailerons must be at one level with the wings.
If the ailerons and/or rudders or elevators are not aligned precisely, the rudders can be aligned precisely with the
linkage wires by twisting the clevises.
Elevator function
If the control stick for the elevator function is moved down, the elevator must deflect to the top. The rear rudder
edge must be deflected upwards by approx. 10 mm. In flight, the landing gear is pressed downwards and the model
ascends.
