General

SIMATIC FS400 3RG7845 Light Curtains and Light Grids are type 4 Active Opto-
electronic Protective Devices (AOPD) in accordance with EN/IEC 61496-1 and prEN/
IEC 61496-2.
All versions have start/restart interlock that can be selected and deselected, plus the
contactor monitoring function, LED and 7-segment displays for system status
diagnostics and a number of additional functions.
The devices are delivered as standard with transistor outputs and cable glands (PG).
The system can also be optionally supplied with industrial standard plug connections
(Hirschmann, MIN-style, M12) or with AS interface bus connection. A protective screen
against spray water is available as an accessory.
