2. Turn the top band wheel (1) clockwise slowly. In doing
so, the saw band (10) must run centrally on the run-
ning surface (1b) of the top band wheel (1).
If this is not the case, correct the incline angle of the
top band wheel (1).
3. To do so, loosen off the wing nut (1d).
– If the band saw blade (10) runs more towards the
rear edge of the band wheel (1), then the adjust-
ment handle (1c) must be rotated anti-clockwise.
– If the band saw blade (10) runs more towards the
front edge of the band wheel (1), then the adjust-
ment handle (1c) must be rotated clockwise.
4. After setting the top band wheel (1), check the posi-
tion of the band saw blade (10) on the bottom band
wheel (5).
5. Turn the bottom band wheel (5) slowly by hand to
check the position of the band saw blade (10).
6. The band saw blade (10) should be positioned in the
centre on the running surfaces (1b) of the bottom
band wheel (5). If this is not the case, the angle of the
top band wheel (1) must be adjusted again.
7. To ensure that the adjustment of the top band wheel
(1) influences the position of the band saw blade (10)
on the bottom band wheel (5), turn the bottom band
wheel (5) several times.
8. Retighten the wing nut (1d).
9. After successful adjustment, close the housing doors
(6) again and secure the door locks (6a). Use the slot-
ted screwdriver (20).
8.5 Adjusting the band saw blade
guide (Fig. 1, 7)
Both the support bearing (14/17) and the guide pins
(15/19) must be readjusted before initial commissioning
and after every band saw blade change.
1. Open the housing doors (6) by loosening the door lock
(6a). Use the slotted screwdriver (20).
8.5.1 Top support bearing (14) (Fig. 7a)
1. Loosen the Allen screw (14a) of the top support bear-
ing (14). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
2. Move top support bearing (14) until it no longer touch-
es the band saw blade (10) (max. distance 0.5mm).
3. Retighten the Allen screw (14a) of the top support
bearing (14). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
8.5.2 Adjusting the top guide pins (15)
(Figs. 1, 7a, 7b)
1. Loosen the Allen screws (16a) of the top retainer (16).
Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
2. Move the top retainer (16) until the front edge of the
guide pins (15) is approx. 1mm behind the tooth base
of the band saw blade (10).
3. Retighten the Allen screws (16a) of the top retainer
(16). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
ATTENTION
The band saw blade will be unusable if the teeth touch
the running band saw blade.
4. Loosen the Allen screws (15a) of the top guide pins
(15). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
5. Slide the top guide pins (15) in the direction of the
band saw blade (10)!
ATTENTION
The distance between the guide pins and band saw
blade must not exceed 0.5 mm. (Band saw blade must
not jam).
6. Retighten the Allen screws (15a) of the top guide pins
(15). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
7. Turn the top band wheel (1) clockwise a few times.
8. Check the setting of the top guide pins (15) again and
readjust if necessary.
9. If necessary, adjust the top support bearing (14) (see
8.5.1).
8.5.3
1. Set the saw table (4) at a 45° angle.
2. Open the housing doors (6) by loosening the door lock
(6a). Use the slotted screwdriver (20).
3. Loosen the Allen screw (18a) of the bottom retainer
(18). Use the 5 mm Allen key (24) and the 10/13 mm
open-ended spanner (21).
4. Move the bottom retainer (18) until the front edge of
the bottom guide pins (19) is approx. 1mm behind the
tooth base of the band saw blade (10).
5. Retighten the Allen screw (18a) of the bottom retainer
(18). Use the 5 mm Allen key (24) and the 10/13 mm
open-ended spanner (21).
6. Continue in accordance with the instructions in the
section 8.5.4.
8.5.4
1. Loosen the Allen screw (17a) of the support bearing
(17). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
2. Move the bottom support bearing (17) until it no longer
touches the band saw blade (10) (max. distance 0.5
mm).
3. Retighten the Allen screw (17a) of the bottom support
bearing (17). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
4. Continue in accordance with the instructions in the
section 8.5.5.
8.5.5
ATTENTION
The band saw blade will be unusable if the teeth touch
the running band saw blade.
1. Loosen the Allen screws (19a) of the bottom guide
pins (19). Use the 3 mm Allen key (22).
2. Slide the guide pins (19) in the direction of the band
saw blade (10).
