HVLP properties

This device has an HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure)
system. It ensures increased (paint) material applica-
tion with lower consumption.
Important: Do not exceed the maximum working pres-
sure of 3 bar.
Connect device
The product may only be operated with cleaned,
condensate and oil-free compressed air and must
not exceed the maximum working pressure of 3 bar
at the device.
To enable you to regulate the air pressure, the com-
pressed air source must be equipped with a (filter)
pressure reducer.
You need a flexible compressed air hose with quick
coupling and a corresponding compressed air source
to operate this device.
Observe the operating and safety instructions of the
compressed air source and special instructions for col-
our preparation.
Note: Make sure that the working pressure is correct.
Excessive working pressure leads to strong fine distri-
bution and entails too rapid liquid evaporation.
The surfaces become rough and develop poor ad-
hesive properties. If, on the other hand, the working
pressure is too low, the paint material will not be suf-
ficiently atomised. Wavy surfaces and drop formation
are the result.
Connect the compressed air hose with quick cou-
pling to the compressed air connection (6) of the
device. The locking mechanism is automatic.
Set the working pressure to 3 bar on the filter pres-
sure reducer of the compressed air source.
Prepare spray area
Thoroughly cover a generous area around the area
to be sprayed. Any uncovered areas or surfaces
may otherwise become contaminated.
Make sure that the spray surface is clean, dry and
free of grease.
Roughen smooth surfaces and then remove the
sanding dust.
Switching the device on / off
Working instructions:
Insert the filter into the gun (see Fig. C).
Open the aspiration (1) while it is working.
When diluting, make sure that the spray material
and dilution match. If the wrong thinner is used,
lumps may form and as a result the gun may clog.
Screw the flow cup (3) clockwise onto the gun.
Fill the spray material into the flow cup (3) and
screw the cover (2) tight.
Always keep the paint spray gun at the same dis-
tance from the object. The ideal spraying distance
is approx. 15 cm.
Determine the appropriate settings in each case
by trial and error.
Do not switch the device on/off over the spray area,
but start and end the spraying process approx. 10
cm outside the spray area.
To switch on, press and hold the trigger lever (8).
Release the trigger lever (8) again to end the op-
eration.
Set the colour beam
The device has omnidirectional and broad-beam set-
tings.
