16 Troubleshooting
The following table shows fault symptoms and describes remedial measures in the event of your product failing to work
properly. If you cannot localise and rectify the problem with this, please contact your service workshop.

Fuels and oils
• Before disposing of the product, the fuel tank and the
engine oil tank must be emptied!
• Fuel and engine oil do not belong in household waste
or drains, but must be collected or disposed of sepa-
rately!
• Empty oil and fuel tanks must be disposed of in an en-
vironmentally friendly manner.
Remedy
Connect the spark plug connector securely to the spark
plug.
Fill with clean, new fuel.
Set the throttle to the Start position.
Clean the fuel line.
Clean the spark plug, adjust the gap or replace it.
Check the engine oil level and top it up if necessary.
Wait a few minutes before re-starting.
Connect the spark plug connector and secure it.
Set the choke lever to the OFF position.
Drain the fuel from the tank. Fill with new fuel.
Clean or replace the air filter.
Clean the air filter.
Clean the engine of the plate compactor.
Remove dirt and debris.
Contact specialist dealer.
Set a lower speed with the throttle.
Contact specialist dealer.
Contact specialist dealer.
Adjust or replace the drive belt.
Contact a specialist dealer and have the seals
checked.
