13.1.1

Preparation for storage

WARNING
Do not remove the fuel in enclosed spaces, near fire or
when smoking. Petrol fumes can cause explosions and
fire.
If the product will not be used for a period of more than 30
days, the following measures must be taken to prepare it
for storage.
1. Clean and check the product for damage.
2. Empty the fuel tank using a petrol extraction pump.
3. Start the engine and let it run until the remaining fuel
is used up.
4. Store fuel in tanks specifically designed for this pur-
pose.
5. Change the oil at the end of every season.
6. Remove the spark plug connector from the spark plug.
7. Store the product in a well-ventilated place or area.
13.1.2
Drain fuel with a fuel extraction pump
(Fig. 8, 19)
1. Hold a collection bucket under the hose on the fuel
extraction pump.
2. Open the tank cover (5a) by turning it anti-clockwise.
3. Remove the fuel filter insert (5b).
4. Push the hose of the fuel extraction pump into the fuel
tank (5) and drain out the fuel tank completely using
the fuel extraction pump.
5. Reinsert the fuel filter insert (5b).
6. Seal the tank cover (5a) again by placing it straight on
and turning it clockwise.
7. To ensure that no fuel remains in the carburettor (12),
the remaining fuel must be drained out of the carbu-
rettor. To do this, place a suitable container under the
carburettor (12) and open the carburettor screw (12a)
with the aid of a 10 mm open-ended spanner.
13.2
Transport (Fig. 20)
WARNING
Risk of injury and crushing!
Unintended and unexpected start-up of the product may
lead to injuries.
– Switch the motor off before loading.
– Once the engine has cooled down, remove the
spark plug connector from the spark plug.
– The product can cause severe crushing injuries due
to its own weight.
ATTENTION
The product can fall and cause damage or injury if it is
not lifted properly.
ATTENTION
Only use the transport frame on a level and solid sur-
face and for short distances.

• Allow the engine to cool down before transporting or
loading to avoid burns and to prevent fire hazards.
• Remove the spark plug connector from the spark plug.
• When transporting over longer distances, drain the fu-
el tank completely.
• Secure the product on the transport vehicle against
rolling, slipping or tipping over and also lash down the
product.
13.2.2
1. The transport frame (10) facilitates handling. To do
this, detach the transport frame (10) from the hooks
(10d).
2. Lift the product by the lower, fixed part of the guide
handle (1).
3. Now fold the transport frame (10) under the product.
4. You can tip the product onto the transport frame (10)
using the guide handle (1) and transport it in this way.
5. Proceed in reverse order when setting the product
down.

14 Repair and ordering spare parts

After repairs or maintenance, make sure that all safety-re-
lated parts are installed and are in perfect condition. All
parts which may cause injury must be kept where they
are inaccessible to children or others.
ATTENTION
According to the German Product Liability Act, no liabili-
ty is accepted for damage caused by improper repairs
or by not using original spare parts.
Such work should be performed by a customer service
centre or an authorised specialists. The same applies to
accessory parts.

page.
ATTENTION
Important note in the case of repairs
When returning the product for repair, for safety rea-
sons, ensure that it is free of oil and fuel when it is sent
to the service centre.
