The auxiliary handle can be attached to
the tool in the following positions:
top, left, right.
Attaching and removing the
guard cover
Requirements
• Battery removed from device
• Attachment tool and mounting flange (23)
removed
Fitting the guard cover (Fig. B)
1. Place the guard cover (8) on the tool so
that the open side faces the tool.
The recesses on the guard cover must fit
into the grid (26) on the tool, only one po-
sition is possible.
2. Press and hold the release lever (27) of
the guard cover towards the device.
3. Turn the guard cover (8) at least ¼ turn.
4. Let go of the release lever (27).
5. Move the guard cover (8) a little until it
clicks into place.
You can now fit an attachment tool.
Removing the guard cover (Fig. B)
1. Press the release lever underneath the
guard cover (27) towards the tool and
turn the guard cover (8) right until the
open side of the guard cover faces the
tool.
2. If the recesses on the guard cover match
the grid (26) on the tool, then you can re-
move the guard cover (8) upwards.

• The disc is attached with a keyless chuck
(22) to the uptake spindle (24). There are
two ways to loosen or tighten the keyless
chuck:
• By hand: To do this, fold the bracket
• With the chuck key (7); kept in the
• If you have fitted a cutting disc: Fit the at-
tachment onto the guard cover (seeFitting
and removing the attachment on the
guard cover, p. 34).
Procedure (Fig. D)
1. Check the attachment tool. Do not use
the attachment tool if it is damaged.
2. Press and hold the spindle lock (11).
3. Turn the uptake spindle (24) until the stop
button holds the uptake spindle in a fixed
position. Keep pressing the spindle lock
(11).
4. Loosen the keyless chuck (22).
You can release the spindle lock (11).
5. Disassembly: Take the attachment tool
off the mounting flange (23).
Assembly: Place the attachment tool on
the mounting flange (23).
