Operation
General working instructions
WARNING! Risk of injury! Pay attention to
the following instructions.
• Always wear sturdy shoes, long trousers,
ear protection, work gloves and protect-
ive goggles when operating the device.
• The device is only intended for work
where you are standing on the ground
and not on a ladder or other unstable sur-
face.
• Comply with the device's maintenance
and cleaning instructions.
• If the grass and shrub shears blade (14)/
(10) becomes jammed with solid objects,
turn the device off immediately and re-
move the battery. Only then should you
remove the object.
• Only use sharp blades to ensure good
cutting performance and to protect the
device and rechargeable battery.
• You can smooth out slight nicks on the
cutting edges yourself. To do this, pull off
the cutting edges with an oil stone. Only
sharp blades provide a good cutting per-
formance.
• Do not overload the device while work-
ing to such an extent that it comes to a
standstill.
• Do not use the device if a switch is dam-
aged.
Working using the grass shears
• Grass is best cut when it is dry and not
too high.
Working using the shrub shears (hedge
trimmer)
• Move the device in a steady forward mo-
tion, or up and down in an arch-shaped
motion.

• The double-sided shrub shears blade (10)
enables trimming in both directions or via
pendulum movements from one side to
the other.
Before use
Carry out the following steps before each
use. This will guarantee long and reliable
use.
• NOTICE! Damage to the grass and shrub
shears blade (14)/(10). While cutting,
make sure that you do not touch any ob-
jects, such as stones, wire fences or plant
supports.
• Check the tool before each use for obvi-
ous defects such as loose, worn or dam-
aged parts. Ensure that the screws in the
grass and shrub shears blade (14)/(10) are
firmly in place.
• Do not cut with a dull or worn grass and
shrub shears blade (14)/(10), otherwise
you will overload the motor and gears of
your tool.
Inserting and removing the
battery
WARNING! Risk of injury due to uninten-
tional start-up. Only insert the battery into
the device once the device is fully prepared
for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect bat-
tery can damage the device and battery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (5) along the guide into
the battery holder (4).
You will hear the battery click into place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release (8) on
the battery (5).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery holder
(4).
Switching on and off
Notes
• The tool may only be used with one bat-
tery .
• The On/Off switch (2) and the switch lock
(1) must not be locked.
