 WARNING! Danger due to electromag-
netic field generated while the tool is in oper-
ation. Under certain circumstances, this field
may negatively affect active or passive med-
ical implants. In order to reduce the danger
of serious or fatal injuries, we recommend
that individuals who wear medical implants
should consult their doctor and the manufac-
turer of the implant before operating the tool.

Preparation

 WARNING! Risk of injury due to uninten-
tional start-up. Only insert the battery into
the device once the device is fully prepared
for use.

Control elements

Familiarise yourself with the operating ele-
ments before using the device for the first
time.
• Switch lock (1)
• The switch lock prevents the device
from being switched on accidentally.
• Unlock: Slide forwards
• On/Off switch (2)
• Switching on: Press
• Switching off: Release

Attaching/replacing an accessory

 CAUTION! Switch off the device and re-
move the rechargeable battery before at-
taching or replacing accessories in order to
avoid hazards and injury.
Attaching an accessory
Procedure (Fig. A)
1. Place the lug (12) of the grass shears
blade (14) or the shrub shears blade (10)
in the groove on the underside of the
device head (9).
2. Fold the accessory in the direction of the
device head (9).
3. Press the two blade release buttons (11)
on the right and left of the accessory.

4. Let go of the blade release buttons (11)
when the accessory is flush against the
device head (9).
5. Check that the accessory is firmly seated
by pulling on the accessory.
Removing an accessory
Procedure (Fig. A)
1. Press the two blade release buttons (11)
on the right and left of the accessory.
2. Fold the accessory away to the front.
3. Remove the accessory.

Checking the battery charge level

1. Press the button (7) next to the charge
level indicator button (6) on the battery
(5).
The LEDs of the charge level indicator
show how much charge remains in the
battery.
2. Charge the battery (5) when only the red
LED on the charge level indicator (6) is il-
luminated.

Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool before
charging.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sun-
light for long periods and do not place it
on a radiator (max. 50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (5) from the device.
2. Push the battery (5) into the charging slot
of the battery charger (17).
3. Connect the battery charger (17) to a
power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the battery
charger (17) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (5) out of the battery
charger (17).
