removing either of these.
Using the raclette and fondue functions together:
• Prepare the appliance as described in the previous paragraphs if you wish to use both functions at
the same time.
• Turn both thermostat controls to the position required in each case.
• Place the food on the plate/in the pot once the appliance has heated up sufficiently.
Note:
When using raclette and cheese or chocolate fondue together, we recommend setting the left
thermostat control for the raclette to a low setting occasionally to prevent overheating.
cleANINg AND cARe
In order to ensure that your appliance will have a long service life, it is necessary to keep
it clean and in good condition. Soiling may impair proper function and cause dangerous
situations.
The base of the appliance must not be immersed in water or other liquids. No water must be
allowed to get into the ventilation openings. Electric shock hazard!
• Before cleaning the appliance,
– turn both thermostat controls to the "–/MIN" position,
– unplug the mains plug
– and allow the appliance to cool down sufficiently.
• Please also observe the "Safety instructions" at the beginning of these instructions.
• Remove the cooled parts of the appliance.
• Empty the contents of the fondue pot once these have cooled down completely.
Please note: Waste grease/oil should not be poured into the drainage system. This should be
disposed of appropriately in accordance with local regulations.
• Remove all food residues carefully after each use.
• Clean the non-stick grill plate and raclette pans in warm water using a mild detergent as necessary.
• Clean the grill stone under running water without using a detergent.
• Clean the fondue pot, the splash guard and the fondue forks in mild dishwater.
• We recommend soaking the parts in lukewarm water before cleaning in the event of very sticky food
residues (in particular cheese residues in the fondue pot).
• Wipe the enclosure for the base of the appliance with a damp (not wet!) cloth that has been properly
squeezed.
• Dry all parts thoroughly with a dish towel after cleaning.
• Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents or detergents, oven cleaners or metal scrapers to
clean the appliance and its parts in order to avoid damaging the surfaces or the nonstick coating.
• Ensure that all parts have been dried thoroughly before placing these back on the base.
• If you are not using the appliance for a longer period of time, pack it away once it has been cleaned
and store it in a dry and clean place out of the reach of children.
