Installing and Connecting the RCM 880 / 890

4.1 Installation Instructions

 The site of installation should be easily accessible.
 There must be sufficient air circulation around the multi sensor.
 Please note the dimensions and installation dimensions ( p. 46).

4.2 Fixing the Mounting Plate

IMPORTANT
For the RCM 880 / 890 with integrated galvanic isolation module, the side with the
milled groove must face the device.
 Select a suitable site of installation with sufficient space.
 Screw down the mounting plate with 4-6 screws (M6).

4.3 Assembling the Connection Cable

RECOMMENDATION
A shield on both sides can prevent signal interference from electromagnetic fields.

 Disassemble the cable gland.
 Pull the 6-wire cable (⌀ 5...10 mm) onto the union nut and the clamping insert.
 Strip 45 mm

 Remove the foil and supplementary wire.
 Leave 10 mm

 Use wire end ferrules with 8...10 mm length
