3 Description
3.1

Intended use

The ON!Track smart tag AI T320-R makes it possible to clearly identify selected tools by way of wireless data
transmission (Bluetooth) or a Data Matrix-Code. After activation and application to the tool, the AI T320-
R continuously transmits a Bluetooth wireless signal carrying generated runtimes, making the information
available to the user in the Hilti ON!Track system solution. In addition, the wireless signal can also be used
to obtain an approximate fix on the location of the tool's AI T320-R. Runtime data can be created for tool
groups with motor/engine and sufficient vibration. Hilti offers a mobile app and a Web-based application for
managing the assets. The battery of the AI T320-R is not replaceable.
3.2

AI T320-R in the ON! Track system solution

The product is part of the ON! Track system solution.
The ON! Track system solution includes the following components:
• AI G125 gateway or Van Gateway or Heavy Equipment Gateway
• A smartphone with the ON!Track app installed
Also required:
• ON!Track account with current services contract
• API connector
An API Connector is needed for reading out data from the ON!Track system. This is not provided by Hilti
ATTENTION: Data transfer between an AI T320-R and a Hilti Gateway is not encrypted. Consequently,
data transfer might possibly be disrupted and data can be incorrect or incomplete, or else not
transmitted or not transmitted in good time. Hilti recommends using runtime tag generated data for
internal purposes only (e.g. monitoring maintenance intervals), but NOT for the use of business-critical
processes, e.g. pay-per-use models, etc. Runtime tags are NOT suitable for such purposes.
3.3 Compatible tool groups
The following tool groups have been tested for compatibility with the AI T320-R by HILTI.
• Rotary hammer drills
• Breakers
• Combihammers
• Demolition hammers
• Vibratory plates
• Rammer compactors
The product is not intended for use with assets that create no vibration, such as ladders, cases, spirit
levels.
If you have questions about the compatibility of the AI T320-R and other product types, consult your
local HILTI representative.
Before using the product with assets not included in the list above, perform tests to ascertain the
accuracy of runtime logging.
Differences in the compatibility of AI T320-R with different variants in the stated tool groups
(manufacturer, size, etc.) cannot be ruled out.
