Formatting the Memory Stick
You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely
delete all images and options on the Memory Stick, including
protected images.
The format function restores the Memory Stick to its initial state.
The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has already been
formatted.
Attention
If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function,
all images will be erased completely and cannot
be recovered.
1. Set the device to CAMCORDER and set the
Power Switch to the MEMORY PLAY mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY and
press the MENU DIAL.
4. Select FORMAT from the list and press the MENU
DIAL.
5. "ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?"
appears on the screen.
6. Using the MENU DIAL, select the item.
NO : To return to previous menu
YES : To start formatting.
7. Press the MENU DIAL.
8. To exit the menu, press the MENU button.
Note
If you want to format the Memory Stick on your PC, use the
"Memory Stick Formatter" supplied with the software CD only.

Memory Stick formatieren
Mit der Funktion MEMORY FORMAT können Sie alle auf dem
Memory Stick gespeicherten Daten löschen. Dabei werden auch die
mit einem Löschschutz versehenen Bilder gelöscht.
Beim Formatieren wird der Memory Stick wieder in den
Ursprungszustand versetzt.
Der mit diesem Camcorder mitgelieferte Memory Stick ist werkseitig
bereits formatiert.

NO: Der Vorgang wird abgebrochen, und Sie gelangen wieder
zum vorherigen Menü.
YES: Der Formatiervorgang wird gestartet.
7. Drücken Sie auf das Menü-Einstellrad.
8. Um das Menü wieder zu schließen, drücken Sie die Taste MENU.
Hinweis
Falls Sie den Memory Stick am PC formatieren möchten, verwenden
Sie dazu ausschließlich die auf der Software-CD-ROM enthaltene
Formatierungssoftware.
Achtung
Mit der Funktion MEMORY FORMAT werden
sämtliche Bilder gelöscht und können nicht mehr
wiederhergestellt werden.
1. Aktivieren Sie den CAMCORDER-Modus, und
stellen Sie den Betriebsmodusschalter auf
MEMORY PLAY.
2. Drücken Sie die Taste MENU.
3. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad die Option
MEMORY aus, und drücken Sie auf das Menü-
Einstellrad.
4. Wählen Sie im Untermenü die Option FORMAT
aus, und drücken Sie auf das Menü-Einstellrad.
5. Auf dem Bildschirm wird "ALL FILES ARE
DELETED! (Alle Dateien werden gelöscht!)
FORMAT REALLY?" (Sind Sie sicher, dass Sie
formatieren wollen?) angezeigt.
6. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad die
gewünschte Option aus.
