Formatting the Memory Stick

You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely
delete all images and options on the Memory Stick ,
including protected images.
The format function restores the Memory Stick to its initial
states.
The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has been
formatted already.

Attention

If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function, all images
will be erased completely and erased images cannot be
recovered.
1. Set the power switch to M.PLAY mode
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY and push the
MENU DIAL.
The sub menu will appear.
4. Select FORMAT from the list and push the MENU DIAL.
5. "ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?" appears on
the screen.
6. Using the MENU DIAL, select the item.
NO : To return to previous menu
YES : To start formatting.
7. Push the MENU DIAL.
8. To exit the menu, press the MENU button.
Reference
"Memory stick" formatted on the PC with the USB adaptor (not
supplied) do not have a guaranteed compatibility with this
camcorder.
If you want to format the Memory Stick on the PC, use the
"Memory Stick formatter" supplied with the software CD.

Memory Stick formatieren

Mit der Funktion MEMORY FORMAT können Sie alle auf dem
Memory Stick gespeicherten Daten löschen, einschließlich
geschützter Bilder.
Mit der Formatierungsfunktion wird der Memory Stick wieder in
den Ausgangszustand versetzt.
Der im Lieferumfang des Camcorders enthaltene Memory Stick
wurde werkseitig formatiert.

Achtung

Wenn Sie die Funktion MEMORY FORMAT ausführen,
werden alle Bilder vollständig gelöscht. Gelöschte Bilder
können nicht wiederhergestellt werden.
1. Stellen Sie mit dem Netzschalter die Betriebsart M.PLAY ein.
2. Drücken Sie die Taste MENU.
3. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad die Option MEMORY, und
drücken Sie dann auf das Menü-Einstellrad.
Das Untermenü wird angezeigt.
4. Wählen Sie FORMAT aus der Liste aus, und drücken Sie auf
das Menü-Einstellrad.
5. Auf dem Monitor wird "ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT
REALLY?" (Alle Dateien werden gelöscht! Wirklich formatieren?)
angezeigt.
6. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad die gewünschte Option:
NO: Sie kehren zum vorherigen Menü zurück.
YES: Der Formatiervorgang wird gestartet.
7. Drücken Sie auf das Menü-Einstellrad.
8. Drücken Sie die Taste MENU, um das Menü wieder
auszublenden.
Hinweise
Es kann nicht garantiert werden, dass ein mit einem USB-
Adapter am PC formatierter "Memory Stick" (nicht im
Lieferumfang enthalten) mit diesem Camcorder kompatibel ist.
Wenn Sie den Memory Stick am PC formatieren möchten,
sollten Sie den mit der Software-CD mitgelieferten "Memory
Stick Formatierer" verwenden.
