Digital Still Camera mode
Formatting the Memory Stick
You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely
delete all still images/moving pictures and options on the Memory
Stick, including protected still images/moving pictures.
The format function restores the Memory Stick to its initial state.
The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has been
formatted already.
Attention
If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function, all still
images/moving pictures will be erased completely and erased
still images/moving pictures cannot be recovered.
1. Set the mode switch to MEMORY STICK.
2. Set the power switch to PLAYER mode.
3. Press the MENU button.
4. Move the MENU SELECTOR to highlight MEMORY
and push the MENU SELECTOR.
The sub menu will appear.
5. Select FORMAT from the list and push the MENU
SELECTOR.
6. "ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?"
appears on the screen.
7. Using the MENU SELECTOR, select the item.
NO : To return to previous menu
YES : To start formatting.
8. Push the MENU SELECTOR.
9. To exit the menu, push the MENU button.
Note
If you want to format the Memory Stick on your PC, use only the
"Memory Stick formatter" supplied with the software CD.

Memory Stick formatieren
Mit der Funktion MEMORY FORMAT können Sie alle auf dem
Memory Stick gespeicherten Daten löschen. Dabei werden auch die
mit einem Löschschutz versehenen Bilder und Filme gelöscht!
Beim Formatieren wird der Memory Stick wieder in den
Ursprungszustand versetzt.
Der mit diesem Camcorder mitgelieferte Memory Stick ist werkseitig
bereits formatiert.
Achtung
Mit der Funktion MEMORY FORMAT werden sämtliche auf dem
Memory Stick gespeicherten Bilder und Filme gelöscht und
können nicht mehr wiederhergestellt werden.
1. Stellen Sie den Funktionsschalter auf MEMORY STICK.
2. Stellen Sie den Betriebsmodus-Schalter auf PLAYER.
3. Drücken Sie die Taste MENU.

8. Drücken Sie auf das Menü-Einstellrad.
9. Um das Menü wieder zu schließen, drücken Sie die Taste MENU.
Hinweis
Falls Sie den Memory Stick am PC formatieren möchten, verwenden
Sie dazu ausschließlich die auf der Software-CD-ROM enthaltene
Formatierungssoftware.
MEMORY aus, und drücken Sie auf das Menü-
Einstellrad.
Das Untermenü wird angezeigt.
FORMAT aus, und drücken Sie auf das Menü-
Einstellrad.
ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY? (Alle Dateien
werden gelöscht! Möchten Sie fortfahren?).
Option aus.
NO: Der Vorgang wird abgebrochen, und Sie
gelangen wieder zum vorherigen Menü.
YES: Der Formatiervorgang wird gestartet.
