c) MAX/MIN Function
The MAX/MIN function enables recording and displaying the maximum and minimum values permanently during
measuring. After activating the "MAX/MIN" function, the maximum and minimum values for the current measuring
duration are recorded.
By pressing the "MAX/MIN" button (8), the current measuring range is set (autorange is deactivated). The symbol
"MAX" appears in the display. The maximum value is continually recorded in the main display and displayed. You can
recolonise this value by the "MAX" symbol.
Pushing the "MAX/MIN" button (8) again switches to the MIN function. The minimum value is continually recorded in
the main display and displayed. You can recolonise this value by the "MIN" symbol.
Pushing again switches back to "MAX", etc.
To switch off this function, keep the "MAX/MIN" button pressed for approx. 2 s. The "MAX/MIN" symbols go out and
automatic measurement range selection is activated.
The MAX-MIN function is not available in the measuring functions continuity test, diode test, capac-
ity, frequency, pulse ratio and NCV.
d) REL Function
The REL function allows a reference value measurement to avoid possible line loss as it occurs, e.g., during imped-
ance measurements. For this purpose, the current indicated value is set to zero. A new reference value is set.
By pushing the "REL" button (11), this measuring function is activated and the reference value is saved. The display
shows the delta symbol "Δ". The display is set to zero and the atomic measuring range selection is deactivated.
In order to switch off this function, push the "REL" button again or change the measurement function via the dial
switch.
The REL function is not active in the measuring ranges continuity test, diode test, capacity, fre-
quency, pulse ratio and NCV.

e) Measuring point lighting

With the DMM switched on, the lateral illumination button (14) can be used to switch the measuring point lighting on
and off. To switch it on, keep the button pushed for approx. 2 seconds. The flashlight is switched off by a brief push of
a button. Pushing a button is confirmed with a signal sound.
The lighting only remains on until the function is deactivated via the lighting button (14), the dial switch (position "OFF")
or the automatic deactivation.
f) Display Illumination
With the DMM switched on, the button "HOLD" (7) can be used to switch the display lighting on and off. To switch on
and off, keep the button pushed for approx. 2 seconds. Pushing a button is confirmed with a signal sound.
The lighting only remains on for approx. 15 seconds or until the function is deactivated via the "HOLD" button (7) or
by turning the dial switch to the position "OFF".
