10 Operation
Correct positioning of the weather station and the outdoor sensor is crucial for ac-
curate readings.
Important:
The weather station and outdoor sensor should be set up at least 1.5 to
2 metres away from electrical equipment to prevent radio interference.
The outdoor sensor is protected against dust and water spray (IP54). The
outdoor sensor can therefore be installed in a location which is exposed
to rainfall.
To increase the range, ensure that the weather station and outdoor sen-
sor are not placed in the vicinity of large metal objects, thick walls, metal
surfaces, etc.
Avoid using other electrical equipment that uses the same radio frequency.
10.1 Powering the weather station
The weather station can be operated by batteries or by adapter (11).
You can connect the product to the power supply while the batteries are in-
serted in the battery compartment.
Battery operation
1. Slide the battery compartment lid (4) downwards to open the battery compart-
ment.
2. Insert the batteries according to the correct polarity (+ and –) into the battery
compartment. The weather station emits a signal.
3. Attach the battery compartment lid (4) to close the battery compartment.
Mains operation
1. Connect the adapter (11) to the socket for mains supply (6) on the weather
station.
2. Connect the adapter (11) to the mains supply.
