12 Getting ready for flight

12.1 Setting the drone up

1. Fully fold every propeller shaft out.
2. Install a propeller guard on every motor by sliding it up the notch on the side of the motor.

12.2 Charging the flight battery

Important!
Only use the supplied USB charger to charge the flight battery.
Never recharge the rechargeable battery unattended!
Let the product cool down after use before charging it again.
The USB charger should only be connected to a suitable power supply (or a power bank) with an output
current of at least 2 A.
1. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
2. Connect the charger cable of the USB charger to the charging socket on the drone.
3. Plug the USB charger into a suitable voltage/current supply (e.g. USB power supply or power bank) that can sup-
ply a voltage of 5 V/DC and a current of 2 A.
The indicator light on the charger lights up steadily.

If the flight battery is charged, the indicator light is off.

4. Disconnect the charger cable from the drone.

12.3 Inserting batteries into the transmitter

Always insert a whole set of new batteries into the transmitter. Do not use batteries with different charge
levels at the same time. Always use batteries of the same type and brand.
We recommend using only non-rechargeable batteries for the transmitter to ensure safe operation and
long service life.
1. On the underside of the transmitter, use a cross-head screwdriver to open the battery compartment.
2. Insert AAA batteries by following the instructions for the correct polarity inside the battery compartment.
3. Close the cover again.

12.4 Installing the mobile device

1. On the remote control, pull the mobile device holder out and place the mobile device into the holder.
