This symbol warns of hazards that can lead to injury.
8 Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you
do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling, we assume no liability
for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
Preparation before use
Choose a suitable location.
Avoid operating the drone in adverse weather conditions, e.g. when it is wet, snowy, foggy or windy.
Check the surroundings for possible hazards or obstacles.
Check that the propellers are properly attached and not damaged.
Always ensure that the drone is 100% ready to fly and completely intact.
Check the transmitter batteries have sufficient charge before flying. This will prevent loss of control.
During use
Always keep the transmitter on while the drone is in operation.
Always keep your eye on the drone.
Try to land safely as soon as possible in case of an emergency.
Never attempt to operate the drone while under the influence of intoxicating substances such as alcohol or
drugs.
Never fly your drone over people.
After use
Turn off the drone first, and then turn off the transmitter. This will prevent loss of control.
Visually inspect the drone for any signs of damage.
If the drone is dirty, clean it as described in Chapter 19 "Cleaning and Care".
Caution, important note!
Caution, safety hazard!
This model has the potential to cause damage to property and/or harm individuals. Ensure that you
are sufficiently insured for the operation of the model, e.g. by taking out private liability insurance.
If you already have a policy, check with your insurance company before using the model that use
of this model is covered by the policy.
In some countries, you are required to have insurance when using a model aircraft!
Familiarise yourself with the local statutory regulations for using model aircraft. In Germany, for ex-
ample, the regulations for model aircraft are stipulated in the German Air Traffic Act. Any breaches
of the statutory regulations could lead to severe penalties as well as restrictions to your insurance
cover.
