Mounting the saw blade (À g. A2, F1–F3)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury,
turn the unit o and disconnect machine
from power source before installing and
removing accessories, before adjusting
or changing settings or when making
repairs. Be sure the trigger switch is in the OFF
position. An accidental start-up can cause injury.
WARNING: The saw blade must be replaced only
in the manner described. NEVER install saw blades
other than those called for in the technical data.
WARNING: A new saw blade's teeth are very
sharp and can be dangerous.
WARNING: Replace the saw blade in mitre cut
mode only.
‰ Make sure that the riving knife (16) is locked in the upper
starting position (À g. A2).
‰ Insert the Allen wrench (57) through the hole (58) in the
belt housing in the end of the spindle (À g. F1). Set the belt
tensioner (59) on the blade locking screw (60) (À g. F2).
‰ The blade locking screw has a left-hand thread, so hold
the Allen wrench À rmly and turn the tensioner clockwise
to loosen it.
‰ Press the safety cover's release lever (13) to release the
lower blade guard (12). Then raise the lower blade guard
as far as possible.
‰ Remove the blade locking screw (60) and the outer saw
blade Á ange (61) (À g. F3).
‰ Make sure that the inner Á ange and both sides of the
saw blade are clean and dust-free.
‰ Mount the saw blade (62) on the inner ring (63) that
is on the inner saw blade Á ange (64). Make sure that
the teeth at the bottom edge of the blade are pointing
toward the back of the saw (away from the operator).
‰ Carefully position the saw blade and let go of the safety
cover.
‰ Put the outer saw blade Á ange back on.
‰ Tighten the blade locking screw (60) carefully by turning
counter clockwise while holding the Allen wrench À rmly
with your other hand.
‰ Put the saw blade tensioner and Allen wrench in their
storage place.
WARNING: After installation or replacement of
the saw blade, make sure that the blade is fully

Settings for mitre cut mode
WARNING: The saw blade must be replaced in
the manner described. Never install saw blades
other than those called for in the technical data.
Your cross-cut and mitre saw has been accurately adjusted
at the factory. If readjustment becomes necessary due to
shipping or for any other reason, follow the steps below
to adjust your saw. Once made, these adjustments should
remain accurate.
Checking and adjusting the angle between the
saw blade and the stop (À g. D, G1, G2, H)
With the saw head in vertical position and the bevel clamp
handle (22) released, loosen the safety screw (65) in the
rotary disk detent pin (8) (À g. G1).
‰ Pull down the head until the blade enters the saw slot.
‰ Place a square (66) against the left side of the stop (7)
and blade (62) (À g. G2). The angle must be 90°.
WARNING: Do not touch the tips of the saw
blade teeth with the measurement square.
‰ If adjustment is required, proceed as follows:
‰ Turn the eccentric adjuster (67) until the side of the saw
blade lies Á at against the square (À g. G1).
‰ Tighten the safety screw (65).
‰ Make sure that the red marks (68) near the saw blade slot
(52) are at the 0° position (69) on both scales (À g. H).
‰ If adjustment is necessary, loosen the screws (70) and
align the markers. The 45° position should also agree. If
it doesn't, the saw blade is not vertically at a right angle
to the rotary disk (see below).
Checking and adjusting the angle between the
blade and the table (À g. I1, I2)
‰ Loosen the bevel clamp handle (22) (À g. I1).
‰ Press the saw head rightward to make sure that it is
completely vertical. Retighten the bevel clamp handle.
‰ Pull down the head until the blade enters the saw slot.
‰ Place a square (66) Á at on the table and vertically
against the blade (62) (À g. I2). The angle must be 90°.
WARNING: Do not touch the tips of the saw
blade teeth with the measurement square.
‰ If adjustment is required, proceed as follows:
‰ Loosen the bevel clamp handle (22) (À g. I1) and turn
the stop screw for the horizontal position (71) inward or
outward until the saw blade is 90° from the table when
measured with the square (66) (À g. I2).
