T U R N I NG ON THE HEAT E R F OR T HE F I RST T IM E
1. Insert a 1.5V AAA battery with correct polarity into the battery compartment.
2. Make sure the control knob is in the "OFF" position.
3. Open the gas cylinder valve.
4. Press the control knob and turn it to the "MIN/START" position. Hold it down for 30 seconds.
5. When the burner is burning steadily, turn the control knob between MIN-MAX to adjust to the desired intensity.
If the burner does not light, push the control knob in and turn it clockwise to the "OFF" position. After 5 minutes, turn it on
again.
Note: The burner may be noisy when first turned on. To eliminate excessive burner noise, turn the control knob to the "MIN"
position. Next, turn the knob to the desired heat level.

• The flame pattern should be checked visually whenever the heater is in operation. Normally the burner flame is blue, but if it
has a small yellow flame it is acceptable.
• If the flames extend beyond the grate surface, or black soot accumulates on the emitter grate or reflector, the heater must
be shut down immediately and inspected and/or repaired.

2. Turn the gas valve on the cylinder off when the heater is not in use.

1. Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position.
2. Wait 5 minutes before attempting to relight the burner.
3. Repeat the steps starting from step 2 of the lighting instructions above.

1. Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position.
2. Turn the cylinder valve to the "OFF" position.
3. Wait 5 minutes to allow the gas to dissipate.
4. If odor persists, contact relevant authorities.
