used to turn the relevant wiper on or off. When
a wiper is switched on, it follows the selected
programme.
SPEED button
If the rain sensor has not been activat-
ed, the SPEED switch can be used to
select the interval system.
Whenever the SPEED switch is pressed, the
next wipe programme is selected.
The available programmes are:
1 interval 11 sec,
2 interval 9 sec,
3 interval 7 sec,
4 interval 5 sec,
5 interval 3 sec,
6 continuous low speed,
7 continuous high speed.
Once programme 7 is reached, pressing the
switch selects programme 1 again. After a dif-
ferent programme is selected, the status lamp
indicates the new setting by means of a series of
flashes (1 to 7); this series is repeated twice. See p.
30 'Using the SPEED button' .
On first use and each time after the current is
switched off, the windshield wipers will wipe at
low speed.
If the current has not been switched off, the
wipers will wipe at the last interval setting or
speed selected, unless the last setting was the
highest speed.
The wiper motors can be operated automatical-
ly if rain sensors have been installed; consult the
manual supplied with the rain sensors.
Rain sensor switch
If the system is fitted with rain sensors,
the rain sensor can be activated using
this switch.

Once the rain sensor has been activated, the
LED above the switch will light up. The sensi-
tivity of the rain sensors can be adjusted using
the rain sensor switch. The sensitivity can be
set using seven different settings, with sev-
en being the least sensitive (more rain drops
needed to activate the wipers) and one being
the most sensitive (fewer rain drops needed to
activate the wipers).
By pressing the rain sensor switch for three
seconds, the next setting will be activated and
displayed on the LED
When switching on the rain sensor(s), all wip-
ers will be activated
Wipe-clean switch
By pressing the switch once, the wipe-
clean program will automatically be
activated:
- three-second window spray
- three wipes (minimum) with simultaneous
spraying
- three after wipes
By keeping the switch pressed, wiping with si-
multaneous spraying will remain activated.
All the wipers will work, even if these have not
been activated on the panel!
Status information
The LED above the speed or rain sensor switch
displays the status of the wiper operating sys-
tem:
On: wiper operation is active,
Off: wiper operation is not active,
Two 'series of blinks': displays selected program.
This is displayed when another program has
been set, and after the wiper operation system
has been activated.
